FAQ
Fortitude Global Learning (FGL) delivers high-quality, flexible education and consultancy services across the fitness, coaching, and training sectors. Our mission is simple: to empower professionals and providers with the knowledge, systems, and support needed to deliver meaningful, compliant, and career-defining learning experiences.
Getting Started
Who are Fortitude Global Learning?
We are a UK training provider delivering regulated fitness, teaching, assessing and quality assurance qualifications, awarded by Transcend Awards, an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation. We also provide consultancy for gyms, colleges and training providers.
Where are you based?
We are based in Warrington, Cheshire, and our courses are delivered online across the UK, with practical assessments arranged to suit you.
Do I need any experience to start?
It depends on the course. The Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instructing, the Combined Gym and PT Diploma and the Level 3 Award in Education and Training need no previous qualifications. The Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training needs a Level 2 gym qualification, and our Level 4 IQA courses need assessing experience.
How do I enrol?
Choose your course, click Enrol Now and book online. You will receive your welcome information and learning platform login within 2 working days.
Courses and Qualifications
Are your qualifications recognised?
Yes. Our courses lead to qualifications awarded by Transcend Awards and regulated by Ofqual, and our gym instructing and personal training qualifications are recognised by CIMSPA, the professional body for the UK sport and physical activity sector.
Which course is right for me?
New to fitness? Start with Level 2 Gym Instructing or the Combined Gym and PT Diploma. Want to teach? Take the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. Assessing learners? Choose AVRA or CAVA. Moving into quality assurance? Look at our Level 4 IQA courses. Not sure? Email us and we will advise.
What can I do once I qualify?
Work as a gym instructor or personal trainer, then progress into tutor, assessor and internal quality assurer roles with our teaching, assessing and IQA qualifications.
Do you work with gyms, colleges and training providers?
Yes. We help organisations with staff qualifications, centre approval, internal quality assurance and bespoke consultancy, including workshops with Keith Smith.
Study, Support and Assessment
How are courses delivered?
Theory is studied online through our learning platform, so you can learn around work and family. Practical assessments for fitness courses take place at a partner gym or by recorded video.
How long will my course take?
You study at your own pace. Timescales depend on the course and the time you can commit, and we agree a realistic plan with you when you enrol.
What support will I get?
You will have a dedicated tutor-mentor and assessor, regular feedback on your work and email support at info@fortitudegloballearning.com.
Can you support additional learning needs?
Yes. Tell us about any learning needs or disabilities when you enrol and we will discuss reasonable adjustments with you. Our Accessibility Statement has more detail.
